In a crowded field of bad haircuts at major football tournaments, Ivan Perisic might just have trumped the lot.
There was no doubting the Croatia midfielder's national pride when he rocked up to his side's last-16 clash with Portugal sporting this barnet. We just hope he didn't pay for it.
We've seen plenty of bad haircuts at tournaments before - we're thinking Ronaldo at the 2002 World Cup - while everyone remembers the Romania team bleaching their hair blond at the 1998 World Cup.
Perisic's cut was expectedly the talk of Twitter - although surprisingly not all of it was bad.

Missed the first 7 mins, I was having my hair done. I come back and Ivan Perisic has only gone and had it done first ...

Perisic is the new hair King. Long live the hair king pic.twitter.com/g5IxMUtCdv

In a dire game that saw no shots on target during the 90 minutes, it was actually a welcome distraction.

There's more activity on Perisic's head than in this match so far ... more playing not to lose

By the time someone scores, Perisic will have a normal head again.

Perisic and his hair! My kind of guy, only have one shot at life. Plus fair play to Jose Fonte, never thought he was Portuguese.

It's fair to say the game was not one to stick in the memory.
Absolutely GUTTED! Fell asleep during Croatia v Portugal, and when I woke up it still hadn't finished. #CROPOR

And after all of that we didn't even get penalties.
Ricardo Queresma bundled in from a yard after Cristiano Ronaldo's shot was blocked with three minutes left in extra-time - just moments after Perisic hit the post.
Literally more has happened between the 117th to 119th minute than the previous 116 minutes. #CROPOR

It wasn't worth the wait.
