Euro 2016: Northern Ireland and Ukraine fans unite in tribute to tragic fan Darren Rodgers

Northern Ireland fans broke into a minute's applause after 24 minutes of their side's game against Ukraine in tribute to Darren Rodgers, the fan who died in Nice.

The 24-year-old from Ballymena, a keen amateur footballer, fell eight metres from a promenade in Nice on France's south coast on Monday and died soon afterwards.

The tribute at the Stade des Lumieres in Lyon was led by Northern Ireland fans, but the Ukraine supporters joined in too.

And his Braid United shirt was there for the occasion.

In Nice, where Rodgers died, a shrine has been set up in his honour.
