Uncapped seamer Shardul Thakur has been included in India's 17-man squad for their four-Test tour of the West Indies.
India are set to tour the Caribbean in July and August and have rewarded Thakur for success impressive seasons in first-class domestic cricket with Mumbai.
The right-arm medium-pacer took 48 wickets in 10 matches in the Ranji Trophy in 2014-15 before claiming 41 dismissals in 2015-16. He has 133 first-class wickets to his name at an average of 27.53.
Mohammed Shami has also been included in the attack having not played international cricket since March of last year because of injury issues.
Meanwhile the squad for the limited-overs tour of Zimbabwe in June has also been named, with five uncapped players featured in the 16-man squad.
Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League, batsmen Faiz Fazal, Karun Nair and Mandeep Singh and off-break bowler Jayant Yadav are all included, along with KL Rahul - who has not won a cap in limited-overs cricket for India but has played in five Tests.
Virat Kohli is rested for the trip to Zimbabwe despite hitting four hundreds in the IPL, with a total of 17 players who were in the squads for the limited-overs matches with Australia and the World Twenty20 omitted this time around.
The first of three one-day internationals with Zimbabwe begins on June 11, with the three-match Twenty20 series starting seven days later.
