Sale Sharks have confirmed the signing of Welsh scrum-half Mike Phillips for next season.
Wales' most-capped scrum-half, the 94-cap international has been playing for Racing 92 since 2013, and will end his career in France with a likely appearance in next weekend's European Champions Cup final against Saracens.
Phillips has also represented the British and Irish Lions five times and retired from international duty in December, one appearance short of a century of combined caps.
Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond said: "Mike will fit perfectly into our plans here at Sale Sharks. He is a big, powerful and very skilful player and has plenty of experience playing at the top level of the game."
Sale will travel to Newcastle Falcons on the final day of the Premiership season on Saturday and sit one point adrift of the Champions Cup qualifying places.
