Amir Khan says upcoming fight in America could be his last if Donald Trump becomes president

Amir Khan faces the toughest fight of his career in the early hours of Sunday morning when he faces up against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, whose only career defeat came against Floyd Mayweather.

But the Brit, a devout Muslim, readily admitted it could be his last bout across the pond, because of Donald Trump.

If you're unaware, Trump has suggested that should he become president he would ban Muslims from entering the US. Not that life would be much better for the millions of American-born Muslims - the billionaire mentioned something about ID cards for those guys. Canelo, from Mexico, is probably not too chuffed about the Republican candidate's wall idea either.

Khan is stepping up two weight classes in a bid to win Canelo's WBC middleweight title and goes into the fight in good form having won his last five. That being said, he's probably never been a bigger underdog.

If the current WBC Silver welterweight champion can pull off an upset, though, it will be one of Britain's greatest ever victories in the ring.
