Gareth Bale did his best Cristiano Ronaldo impression drive Real Madrid to a huge comeback win

The best players step up when their team needs them most - and that's exactly what Gareth Bale did for Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano.

With Cristiano Ronaldo unavailable because of injury, Madrid found themselves 2-0 down and in danger of slipping out of the title race.

But Bale spearheaded a comeback, scoring their first and third goals as they bounced back for a 3-2 win.

And the winner was absolutely typical Bale.

There is no question now of Bale's importance to Madrid.

He's even winning over a few sceptics.

And he's also the king of headers.

Rayo must be absolutely sick of the sight of him.

But Madrid fans are starting to love him. Really love him.
