Superb comeback seals Lotte Championship for Lee

An incredible round from Minjee Lee has secured her second LPGA title at the Lotte Championship.

Just 24 hours after surrendering a two-shot lead, Lee fired back with an eight-under 64 to claim a one-stroke victory overall.

Lee carded a bogey-free round that included six birdies and an eagle on the way to the trophy after the Australian started the round five shots back.

Her day got off to the perfect start with a birdie on the first and she had to wait until the eighth hole for her second.

But from there it was all class on the back nine.

She birdied the 11th before scoring an eagle on the 13th, following up with another two-straight birdies and then another on the 17th.

The 19-year-old said her coach never doubted her - even at five shots back.

"Yesterday I spoke to my coach and he said 'You're only five back, just shoot eight under and you'll be fine,'" the world number 17 told Golf Channel.

"I just did all I could do and here I am.

"This is definitely a big confidence booster. The last couple of weeks I was there, but not quite. Now my game seems to be coming together and that's quite nice."

Lee pipped Chun In-gee and Katie Burnett, who finished tied for second after carding five under and two under respectively.

Moriya Jutanugarn finished fourth on 14 under, while Jang Su-yeon was a stroke behind to round out the top five.
