Danilo has told Real Madrid supporters that he understands their demands after he was singled out for whistles against Eibar on Saturday.
The former Porto defender was heavily criticised for his performance in the 2-0 defeat suffered by Zinedine Zidane's men in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at Wolfsburg last Wednesday.
Danilo was whistled prior to the 4-0 win over Eibar and again when he came on to replace Dani Carvajal in the second half, prompting his response to the Madrid fans ahead of Tuesday's second leg.
"I know what it means to defend this badge and I know the demands of this support," the 24-year-old posted on Instagram.
"I am very proud to be at Real Madrid and to have these fans. We are focused on Tuesday. Let's go and get them! #HalaMadrid and nothing else!"
Danilo has got the nod to start 24 matches in his first season at Madrid, while fellow right-back Carvajal - who defended his team-mate after the Eibar victory - has been picked in 21.
"We had a poor game in Germany and we are all in this together," Carvajal said to AS. "If the fans whistle at one player then they whistle at us all, so I feel that's totally unjust."
