Panathinaikos, Fener keep up good form in Euroleague

Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce are approaching the Euroleague play-offs in top form after picking up wins in the penultimate round of the Top 16.

Already assured of a spot in the play-offs along with Group E leaders Fener, Lokomotiv Kuban and Crvena Zvezda, Panathinaikos saw off Cedevita 76-60 on Friday.

Fener were too good for Anadolu Efes as they ended their play-off hopes with a 90-86 triumph.

A rampant third period separated Fener from Efes, outscoring the visitors 29-16 in Istanbul, as the home side won the derby courtesy of big performances from Luigi Datome (24 points) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (21 points).

In Group F, both CSKA Moscow and Laboral Kutxa picked up wins despite having confirmed their play-offs spots already.

CSKA beat Zalgiris 100-86, with Nando De Colo the standout with 26 points.

The win and its margin helped keep the Russian outfit on top of the group with a 9-4 record.

Laboral share the same record after their 89-88 win over defending champions Real Madrid.
