Reigning MVP Curry provided a number of highlights in his double-double performance, finishing with 31 points and 10 assists the Warriors improved to 62-6 following a seventh consecutive victory.
Thompson top-scored with 39 points for the defending champions, which included 10 successful shots from beyond the arc as he brought up his 1,000th career three.
The Mavericks were led by Dirk Nowitzki's 24 points.
LeBron James returned to the floor as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Orlando Magic 109-103 and secured a play-off spot.
James sat out Wednesday's win over the Mavs but was back in the mix on Friday, scoring 18 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the reigning Eastern Conference champions.
