LeBron James took to Twitter to heap praise on Stephen Curry after the Golden State Warriors point guard's incredible overtime game-winner in Saturday's clash with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
With the game tied at 118-118 in the dying seconds of the first overtime period, reigning league MVP Curry converted a scarcely believable three-pointer from almost 40 feet away to seal a dramatic victory for the defending champions.
The shot marked Curry's 12th three-pointer of the contest, tying the NBA record for threes in a game having earlier broken his own mark for threes in a season with his 287th of the campaign, stunning the Chesapeake Energy Arena crowd.
Victory sees Golden State move to 53-5 on the season as they attempt to break the record for most regular-season wins set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, who went 72-10 en route to the NBA title.
But the plaudits will rightfully go to Curry after he capped his 46-point performance in memorable fashion, leading to a salute from another of the best to play the game.
James posted on Twitter: "@StephenCurry30 needs to stop it man!! He's ridiculous man! Never before seen someone like him in the history of ball!"
