Davies stars in Ospreys win

Tries from fly-half Sam Davies and replacement centre Owen Watkin helped steer Ospreys to a gritty 21-17 victory over Munster in Cork.

The Welsh side had to come from behind to secure their first win in three Pro12 outings, keeping them firmly in the frame for a top-five finish and Champions Cup rugby next term.

In addition to his try, Davies added a further eleven points with the boot in an impressive display and was only inches short of claiming another five-pointer 10 minutes from time.

To add to the visitors' delight, Rhys Webb also made his long-awaited return from injury.

The Wales scrum-half came off the bench 12 minutes into the second half and immediately improved his side's attacking tempo, although he was forced from the field late on following a clash of heads with Francis Saili.

Saili scored one of Munster's two tries, with Duncan Williams claiming the other and coach Anthony Foley will have been left disappointed at the way his charges failed to secure victory having led for almost an hour.

Next up for the Irish side is a tricky trip to reigning champions Glasgow, while Steve Tandy's men host fifth-placed Edinburgh, who sit four points ahead of them.
