Djokovic watches Crvena Zvezda win, Madrid triumph


Tennis world number one Novak Djokovic was in attendance to watch Crvena Zvezda in the Euroleague Top 16 on Thursday.

Serbian star Djokovic was greeted by a thunderous reception in his hometown of Belgrade as Crvena Zvezda defeated Cedevita 94-74.

Sitting courtside after winning his sixth Australian Open title last month, Djokovic saw Crvena Zvezda improve to 4-3 and earn a share of third place in Group E.

Quincy Miller led the capital club with 22 points, while Vasilije Micic contributed 14 points and nine assists.

Jacob Pullen had 20 points for Croatian visitors Cedevita, who slumped to a third-consecutive loss.

As for Fenerbahce, they accounted for Unicaja 80-59.

Defending champions Real Madrid posted their first road win in Group F via a 93-82 victory at Khimki.

Gustavo Ayon was the pick of the Madrid players with 24 points and 13 rebounds in a double-double performance, while Sergio Llull added 17 points and 11 assists.

Khimki, who also boast a 4-3 record alongside Madrid, were led by James Augustine's 20 points.

Elsewhere in the group, Laboral Kutxa eased past Brose Baskets Bamberg 90-64.
