New Zealand have included Test debutant Henry Nicholls in their side to face Australia in their opening Test on Friday.
Nicholls, 24, will make his bow in Wellington as Ross Taylor continues to recover from a side strain, while all-rounder Corey Anderson returns.
The left-handed Nicholls has played 10 one-day internationals since December and is no stranger to the Aussies, having scored 83 runs in three ODIs earlier this month.
Of Nicholls, Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum said: "He's such an unflappable guy.
"He's come into the environment and he's scored some important runs already in some clutch moments for us as well."
Anderson is back in the mix in place of Mitchell Santner after injury, having not played since May last year.
Doug Bracewell was also given the nod as the third seamer ahead of Neil Wagner, while Mark Craig returns as the specialist spinner at the Basin Reserve.
