Victor Estrella Burgos retained his Ecuador Open crown by coming from behind to get the better of Thomaz Bellucci on Sunday.
The Dominican won last year's inaugural event and registered a 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 to maintain his dominance of the ATP 250 Series tournament.
A single break was enough for Brazilian third seed Bellucci to clinch the opening set as Estrella Burgos won 68 per cent of points on his own serve - a stat that would climb to 84 per cent in the third.
Estrella Burgos faced break point at 6-5 down in the second but survived to force a tie-break, fighting back after slipping behind to level at one set apiece.
And that proved to be the turning point. Estrella Burgos broke in the opening game of the decider before claiming one more on his opponent's serve to take the title.
The win in Quito represents the 35-year-old's second career ATP title, with both having come in Ecuador.
