Ducks win again, Lightning down Penguins


The Anaheim Ducks extended their winning run to six matches with a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL on Friday.

Patrick Maroon was the star for the Ducks with his goal and two assists, while Ryan Kesler and Rickard Rakell also had two assists.

The Ducks needed three goals in the final period to secure their win as Corey Perry, Andrew Cogliano and Maroon netted.

Ondrej Palat and Anton Stralman scored twice in the Tampa Bay Lightning's 6-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Tyler Johnson had a goal and two assists for the Lightning, who had to come from behind after conceding the game's opener.

A four-goal first period helped the Carolina Hurricanes to a 5-3 win against the Winnipeg Jets.

It took just 10 minutes, four seconds for the Hurricanes to open up a 4-0 lead and they held on from there at MTS Centre.

William Karlsson scored a pair of goals to guide the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames.
