Angelique Kerber and Johanna Konta's career-high rankings have been confirmed following their success at the Australian Open.
Kerber shocked reigning champion Serena Williams in the women's singles final to claim her first grand slam title at the age of 28.
The German rises to number two behind Williams as a result, leapfrogging Simona Halep, Agnieszka Radwanska, Garbine Muguruza and Maria Sharapova.
Konta, who Kerber beat in the last four, is up 19 places to 28th after exceeding all expectations at Melbourne Park.
The first British woman to reach the semi-finals of a grand slam since 1983, Konta will be seeded at the French Open if she can remain inside the top 32.
At the end of 2014, Konta was 150th in the rankings.
