NBA, NHL games postponed due to winter storm

The NBA has announced that two games scheduled for Saturday have been postponed due to the winter storm hitting the east coast of the United States.

The matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers has been moved to Sunday and the game between the Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards will be rescheduled at a later date.

In the NHL, the game between the Anaheim Ducks and the Washington Capitals scheduled for Friday has also been postponed. A new date for that contest has yet to be announced.

The hockey game was originally brought forward by two hours, but local officials pressured the teams to call it off as transportation difficulties mounted across the region.
