Devoto makes Chiefs move after England call up

Exeter Chiefs have signed centre Ollie Devoto from Premiership rivals Bath.

Devoto was among a host of uncapped players called up to England's first Six Nations squad by new head coach Eddie Jones on Wednesday.

And the 22-year-old - who has scored two tries this season - will move from Bath to Exeter at the start of next season after inking a three-year deal at Sandy Park.

"It's a good move for me," Devoto told Exeter's official website. "Exeter are a very good club and they've shown over a number of years that they are very ambitious.

"I like the values they have created, especially in terms of working hard, and that kind of mirrors what I demand of myself.

"Playing down at Sandy Park, it's always a great atmosphere and a tough place to visit as a player. Games I've had in the past against Exeter down there have tended to stick in my mind, so it will be nice to be on the other side of that."

Second-placed Exeter are three points behind Saracens in the Premiership. Bath are ninth with just three wins from eight.
