Sydney International loses Radwanska to leg injury

The Sydney International have lost two of its top three seeds after Agnieszka Radwanska joined defending champion and third seed Petra Kvitova in withdrawing.

Kvitova succumbed to illness and pulled out of the WTA Tour tournament on Sunday, just hours before Polish second seed Radwanska called it quits without hitting a ball in Sydney due to a leg injury.

The withdrawal comes a day after Radwanska won the Shenzhen Open.

Radwanska saw off Alison Riske 6-3 6-2 as she became the new world number four and secured the coveted top-four seeding at the Australian Open.
