Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder has revealed he will meet with England coach Eddie Jones next week, as speculation over the future of Alex King continues.
Mallinder hit out at the Rugby Football Union last month, suggesting an illegal approach had been made for King, the backs coach at Franklin's Gardens.
"I'd have thought that if an organisation wants to speak to one of your employees then what you do is contact the club and do it officially," said Mallinder.
However, after overseeing an 8-3 win over Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership on Friday, the Saints chief said a meeting with Jones had now been arranged.
"I do know that he is coming back next week and he is going to come into the club to see me for a chat," Mallinder declared.
"Hopefully I will know more then."
Former Australia and Japan coach Jones has added Paul Gustard, Steve Borthwick and Ian Peel to his coaching team since succeeding Stuart Lancaster.
