Yaroslava Shvedova came from a set down to beat Amandine Hesse at the OEC Taipei WTA Challenger as her strong end to 2015 continues.
Shvedova won in Hua Hin last week and moved into the quarter-finals in Taipei with a 3-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 victory over Hesse - the world number 166.
She will meet fifth seed Kirsten Flipkens in the last eight after the Belgian cruised past Zhang Kai-Lin 6-3 6-1, needing just 76 minutes to progress on Thursday.
Fourth seed Timea Babos is also into the latter stages of the tournament after a comfortable straight-sets win over Elise Mertens, Babos claiming a 6-2 6-2 victory.
