Rain ruins third straight day in Bangalore

For the third straight day, no play was possible in the second Test between India and South Africa due to rain.

Day two and day three had been completely washed out at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and there was more frustration for the players on day four on Tuesday.

Persistent drizzle forced the umpires to cancel the day's play, with the match now destined for a draw following a strong start by India, who lead the four-match series 1-0.

South Africa were bowled out for 214 in their first innings and India had reached 80-0 in reply.
