Ronda Rousey has allayed concerns over her wellbeing and vowed to return following some time away after suffering her first UFC defeat at the hands of Holly Holm.
Rousey, who had won her previous 12 professional mixed martial arts fights and claimed 11 first-round victories - lost her UFC women's bantamweight title at UFC 193 in Melbourne on Sunday as Holm emerged victorious courtesy of a second-round knockout.
The 28-year-old Rousey, who had previously stated she wanted to take time away from the sport prior to the bout, was taken to hospital after the fight.
But Rousey posted on her Instagram page: "I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health but I'm fine.
"As I had mentioned before, I'm going to take a little time [away], but I'll be back."
