Third seed Nao Hibino cruised into the Hua Hin Championships last eight with a straight sets victory over Elizaveta Kulichkova on Wednesday.
Hibino has yet to drop a set in Thailand this week and was in complete control against the world number 104, charging into the quarter-finals with a 6-4 6-4 win.
She will meet Luksika Kumkhum in the next round after she came from a set down to beat wildcard Varatchaya Wongteanchai 3-6 6-3 6-3.
Naomi Osaka also needed three sets to seal her place in the last eight of the competition, the 18-year old battling past Patricia Maria Tig - a player ranked 88 places above her.
Having lost the opening set in a tie-break, Osaka - who hit 10 aces - soon levelled before progressing 6-7 (6-8) 6-2 6-1 after two hours and 12 minutes on court.
Up next for the world number 203 is China's Liu Fangzhou after she beat Akgul Amanmuradova 6-2 6-1.
