Malala Yousafzai lands a place at Oxford University
Malala Yousafzai has landed a place at Oxford University following her A-level results.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner, who was nearly killed by the Taliban for campaigning for her right to an education, announced her news on Twitter on Thursday.
The 20-year-old, who now lives in Birmingham with her family, will be studying philosophy, politics and economics.
Malala was shot in the head as she returned home from school in north-west Pakistan in October 2012.
