Relley C has no regrets about comeback after second X Factor elimination

Relley C said she has no regrets about returning to the X Factor for a second try as she was eliminated from the competition once again.

She received her marching orders after losing to girl group Four of Diamonds in the sing-off during Sunday night's results show.

It was the second time the Birmingham singer's X Factor dream has ended - she made it to the judges' houses stage in 2013 before getting the chop.

But she said she has no regrets about taking her shot at pop stardom again.

"There was a time when I was like, you know what, I might just give up on music altogether, and I'm so glad I didn't because it brought me here," she said.

Relley said she had just wanted to make it to the first live show this time around, but when she did, she wanted more.

"But I'm just happy that I experienced it," she said.

The 26-year-old found herself in the bottom two after Saturday night's Diva show, where she gave a powerful rendition of Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.

Earlier in the week, she had been put on vocal rest and struggled to sing for chart star John Legend, who offered master-classes to all the contestants ahead of his performance on the live show on Sunday.

In the sing-off, Relley sang Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me while Four of Diamonds tackled Who Are You by Fifth Harmony.

Judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh chose to save their own acts - Osbourne mentors Relley in the overs while Walsh is in charge of the groups.

Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger appeared to struggle to pick, saying she loved both acts, before eventually opting to send Relley hone.

Simon Cowell went last and said the sing-off had been extremely close.

But he decided to save Four of Diamonds, telling the singers: "I'm going to keep the act who I think has probably got the most potential."

Relley struggled to contain her tears as she watched footage of her X Factor journey, but mentor Osbourne insisted it would not be the last the public hear of the singer, saying she is "a fighter".
