This online tool compares what Clinton and Trump have been up to in any given year

Updated:

Hillary Clinton's campaign team have come up with a brutal new tool to compare the two frontrunners in the US presidential election. It's a way-back-when generator, which draws upon given years in the past five decades and compares what Clinton and Trump were both doing at that time.

It's pretty damning for Trump: depicting Clinton as a long-standing campaigner for women's rights, racial equality and more, and her opponent as a self-serving, greedy man.

The bio for the generator says: "Hillary has spent the past five decades fighting for kids and families. Trump has spent five decades lining his own pockets. Shuffle through the years to see what each candidate has been up to since they began their careers."

It should be noted that the tool is paid for by Clinton's campaign, so as you can imagine glowing descriptions of Clinton are set against Trump's worst moments.

That being said, it is pretty revealing putting their careers side by side in this manner. The tool also places less than complimentary pictures of Trump next to an angelic looking Clinton throughout the years.

But for now, we're going to focus on the words instead of the pictures. Here are a handful of years that came up when we used the generator.

A pretty explicit way of highlighting the discrepancies between the two candidates.
