After working together for years on Coronation Street, you'd expect Jack P Shepherd to miss his on-screen wife Paula Lane when she left the soap earlier this year.
But apparently not!
Asked whether he missed his co-star, who played Kylie Platt until she was murdered on the cobbles in July, Jack replied: "No!
"Someone asked me this the other day, it's only because it has been non stop - we've not had time to even think about her.
"The scenes have been so very dramatic lately, I think it will feel weird (without her) doing everyday, normal Platt scenes but at the minute, not really."
Meanwhile, Jack's on-screen mother Helen Worth, who plays Gail Rodwell on the soap, added: "Also, the other thing is that you always expect characters to come back. You don't say goodbye, you just think they'll be there again."
Jack, who stars as David Platt, also admitted that he couldn't eat or sleep while filming the "harrowing" scenes of having his wife die in his arms on the cobbles when she was murdered by evil Clayton Hibbs.
"I've never really taken it home before," he revealed.
"I've always left the scenes when I have have walked out the door. But those scenes did affect me for about a week - which is a very long time, for me anyway."
Next week will see an explosive series of episodes for David as he plots a revenge suicide mission to kill Clayton. He plans to drive his car full of petrol into the police van that will be escorting Clayton to court when the murder trial begins, but Gail discovers his plans.
Horrified, she decides to imprison him in the cellar of Nick's Bistro with the help of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price). But will David get out and wreak havoc in Weatherfield? Or will Gail and the Platts be able to stop his twisted plot?
