Police launch murder inquiry after man shot in Croydon

A murder investigation has been launched following a shooting in Croydon.

Police were called at around 11.25pm on Friday to reports of a man with a gunshot injury in Eastney Road, Scotland Yard said. Firearms officers were among the emergency services at the incident.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There have been no arrests and inquiries are continuing.
