With the announcement that Diane James is quitting as Ukip leader just 18 days after taking the role, a lot of questions have emerged concerning what happens now.
Why did James quit? Will there be another leadership contest? Who is currently leading the party? Hang on... who is currently leading the party? Well, as it turns out - Ukip isn't sure either.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4´s Today programme, party chairman Paul Oakden admitted he was not certain who the party's leader was at the present time, but that he would "check".
Those who have already looked into party rules on the matter suggest that due to a technicality, the present leader of the party is probably - you've guessed it...
Nigel Farage. That didn't take too long, did it?
Farage spoke to the BBC to confirm that although he was technically party leader, he would not be standing in any forthcoming leadership contest.
We'll reserve comment for closer to the time.
