Five people have been charged with conspiracy to murder after an incident involving a teenager.
They have also been charged with conspiracy to sexually assault a male aged 13 or over by penetration and false imprisonment, West Mercia Police said.
Police received reports of the alleged incident at a private address on Willowfield, Woodside, in Telford, at 12.19am on Thursday.
It is believed the incident took place some time between Saturday August 27 and when the report was made.
The alleged victim remains in a stable condition in hospital, and the five people, aged 19 to 25, will appear at Telford Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.
Detective Inspector Billy Scott said: "We are continuing to investigate the incident and believe that there may still be people with information that have not yet come forward. I would urge these people to contact us straight away."
Police said detectives have confirmed that the alleged victim in the case is "not currently known to the police for any offences".
