Watch as firefighters tackle two enormous blazes sweeping across California

Firefighters have been pulling out all the stops to combat two massive wildfires that raged in tinder-dry California hills and canyons.

Thousands of homes were evacuated as the fires swept through 31 square miles of ridgelines across Santa Clarita and Angeles National Forest, and a 10 square mile area near the Big Sur region.

Authorities said a burned body was found in one neighbourhood hit by the flames.
