RNLI rescues dog that plummeted off a edge of a rocky cliff

Alderney's RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) came to the rescue of a dog after it plummeted off the edge of a 300ft cliff.

The dog had strayed from the path while on a walk with its owner and tumbled onto the beach at Telegraph Bay on Saturday.

Unable to to reach their pet due to the rocky face at the foot of the cliff, the owner called RNLI, who sent its Relief Lifeboat Corinne Whiteley to retrieve the dog.

A little later the threw crew landed onshore with the pooch and reunited it with its grateful owner.
