Royal Mail lets customers drop off parcels at local delivery office

Updated

Royal Mail is launching a new service under which customers will be able to drop off pre-paid parcels and letters at their local delivery office.

The firm said it was part of a range of initiatives to improve convenience and access to its network.

The move is mainly aimed at small businesses, marketplace sellers and consumers.

Nick Landon, managing director of Royal Mail Parcels, said: "Customers can pick up their online shopping, collect parcels we tried to deliver while they were out, drop off parcels for delivery and obtain proof of posting if they need it, all under one roof."
