A Florida man tried to kidnap a teenage girl inside a store, with the incident captured on surveillance video, police have said.
Citrus County officers said that 30-year-old Craig Bonello is facing charges of child abuse and kidnapping after the footage showed him trying to drag the 13-year-old girl out of a Dollar General Store in Hernando on Tuesday.
Authorities said the store manager alerted an off-duty police officer outside the store and he blocked Bonello's car and arrested him.

Bonello was assigned a public defender during his initial court appearance on Wednesday.
Lawyer Edward Spaight said Bonello is a veteran with a long history of mental health issues. He said the systems in place to help people like Bonello have failed him.
