Boy, four, injured after hoarding falls at Manchester Airport

A four-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with ankle and head injuries after a hoarding fell at Manchester Airport.

North West Ambulance Service was called to Terminal One shortly before 7.50am on Thursday.

An airport spokesman said: "We can confirm that a passenger suffered an injury in Terminal One this morning.

"The passenger was tended to by our staff and paramedics, and has been taken to hospital.

"A full investigation into the incident will now take place."
