Larry the Cat stole centre stage with the US media following Barack Obama's visit

Larry the Cat just got a whole lot more famous after the United States media could not get enough of him before today's talks between Barack Obama and David Cameron.

As two of the world's most powerful men discussed important world matters behind the famous door, Number 10´s moggy stood proudly in front of it like some sort of head of security.

American political journalists loved it.

Mark Knoller is CBS News' White House correspondent and he seemed pretty keen to document all of Larry's moves.

News of Larry the Cat's existence was, remarkably, really well received across the pond.
