Man held as tributes paid to woman found dead at her home

A man is being questioned by police on suspicion of the murder of a woman found dead at her home.

The body of Leanne Wall, 36, was discovered by police who were called to an address in Conway Avenue, Bury, just before 7.50am on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Shortly after, a 39-year-old man was arrested on the hard shoulder of the M60 motorway on suspicion of murder.

The results of a post-mortem examination have yet to be released.

In a statement released through police, Ms Wall's family said she was a "loving mother, daughter and sister and a great friend to so many.

"Leanne was fun-loving and hard-working, she had a big heart and will be forever missed," it added.
