Sue Barker wants David Beckham on A Question Of Sport

David Beckham is the star Sue Barker really wants to have on A Question Of Sport.

As host of the BBC quiz show, Barker has grilled dozens of sports stars, but she has not had a chance to put Beckham's knowledge to the test.

Asked who she would like to have on, she told reporters: "David Beckham. He'd be great.

"He's been living abroad and doing stuff. And not everyone wants to come on and answer questions and be humiliated by the captains."

But she told reporters she thinks he would be "fantastic".

Barker also said watching Andy Murray win Wimbledon was "the best moment" of her TV career.

She said Murray and his wife Kim are "a lovely couple", describing Andy as "delightful".

Barker was speaking at the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home's Collars and Coats Gala Ball in London.

Joining her on the red carpet at the charity event were Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, actor Anthony Head and writer Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

The gala raises funds for the famous home's work in rescuing and re-homing abandoned dogs.
