Pupil seriously injured in incident at Aberdeen school

A schoolboy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident at a secondary school in Aberdeen.

Officers were called to Cults Academy in the west of the city at about 1.30pm.

Police Scotland said a male pupil has been taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

One person, described only as a male, has been detained and is said to be helping officers with their inquiries.
