Serious injuries after car crashes into house near Doncaster

A number of people are believed to have suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a house.

South Yorkshire Police said it was called to reports of car on fire after hitting the property in Branton near Doncaster.

A spokesman said: "A number of people are believed to have suffered serious injuries during the collision. There is no more information available at this time as the response to the incident is in its early stages."

Emergency services, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, are responding to the call made just before 1pm.

A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said one patient had been admitted to hospital, but had no further information at this time.
