The UK's favourite homes revealed
In 2017 we have two property dreams. The first (and most common) is the lottery-winning one, where we dream of being able to afford a mansion with every imaginable luxury. The other dream is that we stumble across a bargain, where we can afford to live well, without breaking the bank. The list of the ten most popular properties so far in 2017 is made up of stacks of both.

10. Five-bedroom terrace in Liverpool for £90,000 (pictured above)
Tenth place on this list falls squarely into the 'bargain' category, although given the excellent condition of the property, and the fact that this is a guide price for auction, means it nay well fetch a great deal more than £90,000.
9. Six-bedroom mansion in Nottinghamshire
Ninth place is the other kind of dream, where for £1,395,000 you can snap up a modern detached property, complete with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a cinema room, and acres of shiny white newness in Beeston.
8. Four-bedroom family home
In eighth place we're back to the dream of an affordable family home. For £169,000 you get a home that's newly renovated and in beautiful condition. It's also detached and at the end of the cul de sac. The property itself is in Irvine.
7. Multi-million pound pad
It's back to the lottery winners for number seven. with this seven-bedroom mansion in Richmond upon Thames, for £3,395,000. The Georgian-Style property is tucked away on a cul de sac on an exclusive development, and offers plenty of space. The buyers, however, will have to share the previous owner's distinctive tastes (especially when it comes to the use of marble in the bathroom), or save some cash for redecorating.
6. Party house in Broxbourne
This £1,750,000 five-bedroom detached house is both impressive and imposing. The five bedrooms are all very nice, but what makes this property stand out is the huge amount of entertaining space. This includes a huge patio with a bar area, built in television, and barbecue - plus a chill out platform, suspended over the outdoor heated pool.

This £180,000 six-bedroom property in Tonypandy not only offers easy family living on a budget, it is also built into a slope, so over five floors, you get stunning views over Clydach Vale Country Park.
4. Five bedrooms in Beaconsfield
This immaculately presented Victorian cottage is being marketed as 'price on application', which usually means an impressively hefty cost. It's easy to see why, as the building is stunning and stylish, and it comes with an enormous amount of land - which the seller suggests would be good for equestrians. At the moment the cottage is split into two properties, but it is being sold as one.
3. Three-bedroom Commuter home for just £190,000
It's another pristine, detached family home, and this one is in Nafferton in Yorkshire - a handy commute for Hull, Doncaster and Sheffield.
2. A luxury, period property, for less than you think
Second on the list seems to offer a bit of the best of both worlds. The former toll house is surrounded by woodland, it's a character period property, and it has all sorts of luxuries - including a stunning reception room, and even a covered swimming pool in the back garden. The real surprise, however, is that this home near Great Yarmouth costs just £550,000.
1. Dream home in Beaconsfield
Oddly, this is one of two Beaconsfield properties in the top ten, but this modern mansion is very different from the Victorian cottage. For £2,7450,000, you get six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a cinema room, six reception rooms, stunning styling, perfect condition, and all the airy windows, white walls and wooden floors you could ask for. There's even an enormous walk-in wardrobe.
