You've probably never heard of it - but AllBeauty.com has been crowned the UK's favourite online store, thanks to its cheap deals on cosmetics, wide selection of products and quick delivery service.

In a survey of more than 10,000 members of the public by Which?, the British online store was given a rating of 87%. It offers high-quality cosmetics and fragrances at discounted prices, with Calvin Klein CK One Eau de Toilette retailing at £22.95 for 200ml, for example - a saving of 61%.

Second and third in the ranking were last year's joint winners, electrical retailer AO.com and cosmetics brand LizEarle.com, with scores of 86% and 85% respectively.

At the bottom of the scale comes EE, the UK's biggest phone network, with a score of just 56%. Customers complained of a poor delivery service and a confusing website that's hard to navigate.

In a statement, EE says it's 'surprised and disappointed' by the results, adding that it's actually seen an increase in positive customer feedback over the last year.

Homebase, B&Q, Wickes and Sports Direct were also criticised for their poor customer service.

"With more and more of us shopping online, especially in the run-up to Christmas, it seems there's still a big gap between the best and worst retailers if you're looking for choice, value and convenience," says Richard Headland, editor of Which?.

"The best online shops offer competitive prices and a seamless experience, while others need to up their game to avoid letting customers down."

Both online and real-world retailers are steadily upping their game on customer service, according to the Institute of Customer Service. It found earlier this year that customer satisfaction across the UK had increased by 1.2 points on the previous year - its biggest rise since 2011.
