Gone are the days when the only way you could remove a double chin was to have a face lift.
A number of new non-invasive treatments are becoming available to those desperate to get rid of their extra chins.
These include Kybella injections which break down the membranes of the fat cells in the chin area, and 'coolsculpting', which cools the fat cells, causing them to break down. Both treatments have already been used on other problem areas of the body, such as the belly and thighs.
The advantage of these treatments (apart from the fact that they are non-invasive) is that they give permanent results with relatively little discomfort, say their exponents.
Kybella is already available in the UK and, according to a recent report in the Daily Mail, waiting lists are already forming for this treatment, which costs around £200 per injection.
