How you burn fat through the day is by boosting your metabolism. But you don't have to take crazy supplements to do that.
Here's how you can boost that metabolism with simple, healthy lifestyle changes.
Caffeine in the form of coffee and green tea can stimulate your central nervous system, boosting your metabolism by five to eight per cent. Just make sure to limit yourself to one cup a day.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if you eat within an hour of waking up, you'll effectively burn fat all day. Try eating a healthy wholegrain breakfast with fruit.
Drink around eight glasses of water a day. Studies have shown that those who drink enough water burn more fat than those who drink half that amount.
Exercise increases metabolism
High intensity exercises like burpees and squats burn a lot of calories, and can double your metabolic rate for 30 minutes afterwards. Also, walking before or after your lunch will boost the rate at which you burn fat.
For your lunch, try eating some protein. High protein foods take more work to digest, metabolise and use, which means you burn more calories processing them.
For dinner, try and eat some spicy foods when you can. It can boost your metabolism and curb your food cravings.
Relaxing is also important. Stress can actually slow your metabolism down by releasing the cortisol hormone which reduces fat burning.
Finally, sleep. Seven to eight hours of quality sleep a night is essential to staying fit and trim.
