The new school year is only a few weeks away, but there's still time to take a sunshine break with the family. Some of the best package deals pop up when you book last minute - here are a few of the offers available if you fancy a week or two away.

Co-op Travel
If you're based in the Midlands or not fussy about your departure airport, Co-op Travel has a number of late deal holidays at bargain basement prices. Currently topping their cheapest deals is a 10-night stay in self-catering accommodation in Tenerife, based on four sharing. Leaving on 26 August from Leeds Bradford airport, you can enjoy a little Canary Islands sunshine for just £180 per person - a massive reduction from the original £630 price. There are similar deals to Gran Canaria, southern Spain, Ibiza, Majorca, Rhodes and Turkey.
On the Beach
The advantage of On The Beach's 'Deal Finder' is that you can search for the best offers via departure airport, destination, type of accommodation and/or budget. Currently at the top of their bargain list is a seven-night self-catering stay at the Salou Pacific on Spain's Costa Dorada for £163 per person. You can also pick up bed & breakfast deals for as little as £183 per person on the Costa Brava so it's well worth a look.
Thomas Cook
There are big reductions on everything from all inclusive packages to self-catering breaks at Thomas Cook, and you can search by holiday type or destination. For example, a seven-night break in Kefalonia, Greece on a bed & breakfast basis is currently on offer at £191 per person. Alternatively opt for a relaxing all-inclusive week in Majorca for only £291 per person, or a week in a family suite in Marmaris, Turkey for £323 per person.
Teletext Holidays
For a quick search for cheap family holidays, simply search Teletext's 'Late Deals' section online and you can easily see the best prices for everything from all-inclusive deals in Spain to cheap Caribbean escapes. As an example, a seven-night all-inclusive family package in Spain (departing 19 August) starts from £327 per person. There is also a 'deal of the week', and offers on holidays if you're ready to go within the week.

UK family breaks
The weather has been kind here in Britain this summer, and if the sun continues to shine for another few weeks, a UK break could prove your cheapest option. The likes of Pontins and Butlins are great for a bargain family getaway, with plenty to keep the kids and adults entertained. Butlins have some great school holiday deals, including an up to half price sale that could bag you seven nights for £200 per person, four nights from £142 and three nights from as little as £89. Pontins also have some 'last chance August breaks' up for grabs for as little as £69 for a self-catering seaside apartment. Availability is limited so you'll need to be quick, but it's worth checking if you're planning a spontaneous getaway.
