Research has previously pinpointed 25 October as LBD day, when British women begin weight loss regime designed to get them into that killer party season dress.
While a study commissioned by the New Atkins Nutritional Approach has revealed that six out of 10 ladies aim to slim down before Chrimbo, more than 25 per cent of those leave it too late, forcing them to try unhealthy crash diets.
But get started today and experts say you'll have plenty of time to get in shape for that little black number.
Nutritionists insist that a full six weeks of healthy eating and regular exercise could leave you a dress size slimmer, or a stone lighter, by Christmas.
And since the survey of 2,000 women found that 50 per cent own at least one Little Black Dress, it's likely that millions of girls up and down the UK will be embarking on a weight loss plan to ensure they look hot for their seasonal bash.
Linda O'Byrne, chief nutritionist for the New Atkins Nutritional Approach, told the Daily Express: "LBD day is a perfect reminder of when it is best to start to think about getting in shape to fit comfortably into your favourite party dress and look your best."
The poll also revealed the stars who wore the LBD best - screen icon Audrey Hepburn topped the list with a massive 40 per cent of the votes, while Victoria Beckham, Kate Middleton, Angelina Jolie and Princess Diana all made the top five.
