Fridges It's time to check for any out of date products and get rid of them. You should be starting to stock up on summer foods now anyway. Salt and soda water make a great combination when it comes to cleaning and you won't risk the smell of a chemical cleaner tainting your food. When you have finished freshening up your fridge leave an opened box of baking soda at the back; it will help to absorb unpleasant smells.Taps and sinks In order to remove lime scale on a tap lay paper towels over the fitting and soak with vinegar. Leave for an hour before removing. You can use a drain-cleaning product to clear the kitchen sink drains but you might want to try vinegar and baking soda for a cheaper alternative. You can also use vinegar on showerheads. Place a vinegar filled bag over the fitting and tape it shut. Leave for an hour or so before removing and wiping.
Windows You can clean windows with a rag and soapy water and then dry them with a dry cloth. For a really good result why not try using newspaper with your normal window cleaner. Remember to wear gloves; you don't want to get covered in ink. For a cheap and effective clean use vinegar or lemon juice and water to cut through the grease and grime.
Curtains If your curtains are looking a little sad then run them through the dryer with a wet towel; this will attract all the dust and leave them looking clean and fresh. Nets and lace curtains should be washed regularly to keep them bright and white.
Bins It's best to clean your bin in the garden. Start by hosing down thoroughly and then tip out any water. Spray with disinfectant. Scrub well with a brush and leave to dry.
Pans Soaking is vital. Add lemon juice to hot soapy water for best results and dry with a soft cloth.
Dusting To dust properly you start at the top and work your way down. Clean away cobwebs and dust on hanging pictures and blinds with a small broom or brush. Dust and wipe all your furniture using furniture polish.
Sofas Use a vacuum attachment to clean all the awkward corners. Remove and spray the cushions with disinfectant. Use a mild detergent to clean the fabric. Finish by vacuuming again.
