Ms Price famously married Peter Andre just a few short years ago in a fairytale wedding (pink dress and all) but their break-up last year and the subsequent bitching and sniping made tabloid headlines for much of the summer. For wedding number two though, Katie opted for a low-key, family and friends only affair in Las Vegas.
Could it be that a less than successful stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle and six months of vilification from the press and public alike may have caused Katie to attempt a more private life?
Though it is less than a week since new husband Alex won Celebrity Big Brother, he has declared his genuine love for Katie and the fact that the pair rushed to Las Vegas without announcing their upcoming nuptials certainly suggests that it may well be a case of true love. But then, the course of true love never does run smooth... or, in Katie Price's case, without a business angle.
Rumour has it that the newlyweds nipped off for a quick, and no doubt lucrative, photo shoot before continuing the celebrations in, well... a strip club, reportedly.
The couple claim that they deliberately avoided commercialising their wedding but the TV crew filming reality show What Katie Did Next were, by happy coincidence, on hand to record the event. And let's not forget that upon quitting I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Katie dumped Mr Reid live on national TV, which would imply that a long and happy marriage is unlikely.
So the question remains – is she really in love with Alex Reid as their private wedding suggests, or has his newfound fame and public approval simply swayed the business-minded Katie Price?
